Dr Xia Li joined the Statistics Consultancy Platform at La Trobe University,Melbourne, Australia in Sep 2016, as the University Statistics Consultant. Her principal research interests include applied statistics, biostatistics, especially longitudinal data analysis, survival data analysis, latent based model data mining methods and statistical learning methods. Xia also has expertise in data analysis and statistics modelling and is skilled in a range of data analysis and statistics software packages (SAS, R, SPSS, and MPLUS etc.). 

       Dr Xia Li was educated at the School of Statistics, Renmin University of China from 2005 to 2010 (PhD in 2010). She was then appointed Lecturer in Medical Statistics at the School of Public Health and Family Medicine at the Capital Medical University, China, from August 2010 to April 2013. From April 2013 to Sep 2015, she was a Senior Statistics Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Epidemiology and Public Health Department, University College Cork, Ireland, and was then employed as a Research Fellow at the Graduate Entry Medical School, University of Limerick, Ireland, until Sep 2016. She has been a visiting scholar in the School of Medical Sciences, Edith Cowan University (May 2015), at the Department of Biostatistics, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, USA (Feb 2014-March, 2014) and at the Department of Statistics, University of California, Berkeley, USA (Sep 2007 - Sep 2008).
