科学家们在一项研究中注意到:大部分时间都坐着的公交司机和不坐的售票员或保安,虽然两类人饮食和生活方式非常相似,但是坐着的人患心脏病的几率是经常站着的人的两倍。

久坐更有可能早逝。不管每天是否有运动都无法抵消久坐的伤害。就算每周锻炼7个小时,也无法逆转每次连续坐7个小时的影响。不要把健身房里的辛苦浪费在久坐上!

久坐人的大脑会像痴呆症患者一样。久坐还会增加患心脏病、糖尿病、中风、高血压和高胆固醇的风险,这些都是造成这种状况的原因之一。整天都在活动而非长时间久坐比运动更有助于降低以上健康问题的风险。

坐一整天更容易患上糖尿病。不仅仅因为消耗的热量变少,实际是因为坐姿本身。医生认为久坐可能会改变身体对胰岛素的反应,胰岛素是一种帮助人体燃烧糖类和碳水化合物以获取能量的激素。

深静脉血栓是一种在腿上形成的血栓,通常是因为坐得太久。如果血栓破裂会滞留在肺部,情况就会非常严重。深静脉血栓会出现肿胀和疼痛,也可能没有任何症状。

焦虑会让人经常埋在屏幕活动里,这可能会干扰睡眠变得更加焦虑。此外,太多的独处时间会让人远离朋友和所爱的人,与社交焦虑有关。科学家们仍在找出确切的原因。

坐姿会对背部肌肉、颈部和脊椎造成很大压力。如果没精打采,情况会更糟。选择一把符合人体工程学的椅子,椅子的高度更合适,背部的位置也要合适。但要记住,不管多舒服,背部还是不喜欢做很久。每半小时起身走动一到两分钟,让脊柱保持直线。

坐太久血液就会在腿部聚集。这会给血管增加压力。腿会变得肿胀、扭曲或凸出,即静脉曲张。还可能看到蜘蛛静脉,附近许多血管破碎。

不运动的老年人更容易患上骨质疏松症,可能慢慢地无法完成日常生活的基本任务。

久坐的人更容易得结肠癌、子宫内膜癌或肺癌。做得越久,成功的机会就越大。老年妇女患乳腺癌的几率更高。
